Wesco North boys hoops scenarios




With Stanwood's win over Snohomish and Arlington's win over Monroe last night, the boys basketball standings got a little more confusing. Tonight Lake Stevens (10-4, 13-7) takes on Snohomish (10-4, 14-5) and Stanwood (10-4, 12-7) battles Arlington (7-7, 10-9) in the final game of the season. Monroe (8-7, 11-9) has played its last game of the season.

Here's the scenarios:

Snohomish def. Lake Stevens; Stanwood def. Arlington
Snohomish and Stanwood finish tied at 11-4 for first, they split regular season title and Stanwood wins the tiebreaker and is No. 1 seed; Lake finishes third; Monroe finishes fourth at 8-7 and earns final district berth.

Lake Stevens def. Snohomish; Arlington def. Stanwood
Lake Stevens finishes first. Snohomish and Stanwood tie for second and split regular season (Stanwood is No. 2 seed based on tiebreaker). Arlington and Monroe tied for fourth with Arlington winning the tiebreaker and getting final district berth.

Lake Stevens def. Snohomish; Stanwood def. Arlington
Lake Stevens finishes first after sweeping season series against Stanwood. Stanwood is second and Snohomish is third. Monroe is fourth and earns final district berth.

Snohomish def. Lake Stevens; Arlington def. Stanwood
Snohomish is first. Lake Stevens take second over Stanwood due to winning the season series. Arlington and Monroe tied for fourth with Arlington winning the tiebreaker and getting final district berth.
