Waterfowl

Duck hunting closed around here on Jan. 29, but the last two weeks of the season -- featuring a lot of rough weather -- was spectacular, according to Anthon Steen at Holiday Sports in Burlington.

Brant season, he added, was a little slow for the first few days, but improved over the final three days.
