Marysville police seek two suspects in armed robbery of woman with two kids

MARYSVILLE -- Police in Marysville are investigating a Wednesday night armed robbery.

The robbery occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of 76th Street when the woman was putting her wheelchair into her vehicle, Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.

The man pointed a handgun at her and demanded money, Lamoureux said.

She told the suspect she had no money. He then saw her purse on the front seat, grabbed it and ran.

The victim, a Tulalip woman, 25, was knocked to the ground but was not injured, Lamoureux said. Her two young children were in the vehicle during the robbery.

As the suspect began to run away, he was joined by a second man.

A Snohomish County police dog was able to track them for a short time but eventually lost the scent.

The man who knocked the woman down concealed his face below the nose during the robbery. He is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches and weighing about 150 pounds. He wore blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt. He had facial acne and it appeared he had a shaved head.

The second suspect was described as wearing blue jeans and a black sweatshirt.

The Marysville Police Department is asking for help in identifying the suspects. Anyone who may have information is asked to call detectives at 360-363-8326.
