3 held after police chase ends in Tulalip

TULALIP -- A Tulalip man, 23, was arrested late Thursday night after he reportedly led police on a chase from Everett onto the Tulalip Reservation.

A Washington State Patrol trooper attempted to pull the man over on Broadway in Everett for expired license plate tabs, trooper Keith Leary said. The car didn't stop, and the pursuit began about 6:30 p.m.

The car got onto I-5 and then drove to the reservation, Leary said. The car then struck a light pole, which fell and blocked the trooper's path.

Troopers worked with Tulalip police to find the car and then the man, who reportedly was hiding inside a home.

Two others at the home were arrested on warrants.

The man suspected in the pursuit was booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of burglary, eluding police and driving with a suspended license.
