Bike riders drive cars, pay taxes
I am a retired ironworker who has lived in Everett nearly my entire adult life. Since my truck gets about 12 miles per gallon and short trips are not good for motors, I use the bicycle whenever I need a few small items and it's less than five miles. I figure it saves me about $500 a year at least.
I also believe that city streets and bridges are supported by property tax. I pay more of that than the average person.
I would also say that I just don't have hardly any conflict with cars. I don't remember one time locally that I had bike trouble when driving my truck, either.
