Prep girls basketball: Lynden 46, South Whidbey 43
LANGLEY -- Lynden rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat South Whidbey 46-43 in a District 2A girls basketball play-in game.
"Early on we were hitting threes," said South Whidbey head coach Andy Davis. "But they converted a couple of loose balls and converted them to points in fourth quarter to take the lead."
Still, Davis was pleased with his team's performance.
"I thought we played a complete game and we were in it right to the very end."
Returning from a concussion, Jessica Manca led the Falcons in scoring with 12 points, while Ellie Greene added 10 and Hayley Newman chipped in with eight.
Lynden's Kortney Grattic scored 19 points and Amber Stokes had 16.
