Boeing's 787 visits Thailand, Singapore

The Boeing Co.'s 787 has completed a 7,679-mile nonstop flight to Bangkok, Thailand, as part of the jet's Dream Tour, the company said Thursday.
The Dreamliner flew from Boeing Field in Seattle to Thailand, where it will be on display for government officials, journalists and other guests to tour it. Representatives from Thai Airways also checked out the 787. The carrier plans to lease its first eight 787s from International Lease Finance Corp.
"Boeing is honored that Thai Airways International will be flying the Dreamliner," Ralph (Skip) Boyce, president of Boeing Southeast Asia, said in a statement.
The 787 will remain in Thailand until Saturday, when it flies to Singapore for the 2012 Singapore Air Show, where the company's 747-8 Intercontinental also will be featured along with Boeing's military aircraft.
“We are delighted to be showcasing some of the world's newest and most innovative commercial airplanes alongside our strong defense products and capabilities at this year's show,” Boyce said.
