Prep girls basketball: Meadowdale 56, Mount Vernon 39

MOUNT VERNON -- Margareet Barhoum led all scorers with 26 points as Meadowdale defeated Mount Vernon, advancing to the semifinals in the 3A District 1 tournament. Alyssa Reuble scored 12 points for the Mavericks, who outscored the hosts 19-6 in the first quarter. The Bulldogs were led by Alyssa Evans, who finished with 17 points.
