Marysville firefighters have shared with us a piece of art that's important to them.
I wrote about the crews training for the annual stairclimb challenge in Seattle next month in Friday's paper.
The Marysville Fire District lost Lt. Jeff Thornton, 42, to a rare cancer about 10 years ago.
Firefighter Keoni Brown's brother, Sherman Brown, created this photo illustration of Thornton. It is based on promotional materials used by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which runs the stairclimb fundraiser.
The group OKed the use of their materials, Keoni Brown said.
