ARLINGTON -- One person was found dead Wednesday in a house fire in Arlington.

The fire broke out about 1:30 p.m. at a house in the 18600 block of Silverleaf Place NE, city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.

Firefighters found the body while extinguishing the flames, Banfield said. The age and gender of the person who died weren't released on Wednesday.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
