Same-sex marriage
Proud to be a Washingtonian
I am proud to be a Washingtonian today, the day that Gov. Gregoire passed into law the ability of people in love to be married in our state regardless of gender.
True conservatives should applaud this law as another effort to keep government out of our lives, if not our bedrooms.
The opponents of this legislation, who are planning a repeal effort, are now in a position to take away rights by the "tyranny of the majority."
I would ask people who are considering signing this referendum to first ask themselves, is this really any of my business? And would I want my neighbors to pass judgment on my life?
And to realize that there is no doubt that same-sex couples love their children, their communities and each other just as much as you do.
