Prep boys basketball: Edmonds-Woodway 58, Stanwood 54

STANWOOD -- Edmonds-Woodway's Travis Bakken scored 22 points to help the Warriors stay alive in the 4A District 1 boys basketball tournament with a 58-54 victory over Stanwood on Wednesday night.

Stanwood led by two points with two minutes to go in the fourth quarter, but couldn't hold on to the lead in the loser-out game.

"We gave up two big offensive rebounds down the stretch and that was the difference," Stanwood head coach Zach Ward said.

Stanwood's Cannen Roberson scored 30 points, with eight rebounds and four assists.

Edmonds-Woodway plays Lake Stevens at Jackson High School on Saturday in a loser-out game.
