Prep girls basketball: Lynnwood 50, Mount Vernon 40

LYNNWOOD -- Jasmin Edwards helped the Royals to a win in the 3A District 1 tournament. Edwards had 13 points, four assists, four steals and five rebounds. Lynnwood plays Ferndale in a loser-out game Saturday at Lynnwood High School. The winner plays the loser of Glacier Peak-Shorecrest for the district's second berth to the state tournament.
