Stealth and Seattle's Children's Hospital to host free concussion symposium

Symposium to be held Feb. 21

The Washington Stealth announced on Thursday that they will partner with Seattle's Children's Hospital, Everett Bone and joint and the Washington Chapter of US Lacrosse to present a concussion symposium on Feb. 21.

The symposium titled, "Concussions: What you need to know" will take place from 5:45 - 8:30 p.m. at Seattle Children's Wright Auditorium.

Many qualified physicians will be on-hand to discuss the issue of concussions that has been becoming more and more of a concern as medical studies continue to come out. The symposium will also seek to ask many of the commonly asked questions when it comes to concussions in young athletes.

"For a few families, this evening may prove to be one of the most important nights of their lives," President of the Stealth David Takata said.
