Self defense

Don't create doubt about deadly force

Regarding the Feb. 9 article, "When is deadly force justified for self-defense?":

Very simple. If you are confronted by a person who has the means and the opportunity and you feel like your life is in imminent jeopardy, by all means, shoot to stop, center mass, and one in the head for good measure. If these three elements exist, there isn't a jury in the country that would convict you.

I believe this article is an example of irresponsible journalism. The article is going to create some doubt in a homeowner's mind and after the time it takes for him to consider options, he won't have any left. He'll be dead. Pay no attention to this drivel.

If you don't own a weapon, buy one. Learn how to use it, join the NRA, form Blockwatch parties, look out for one another, and err on the side of caution. The lower echelon of the 99 percenters who get desperate are going to prey on the weak and that's when the old equalizer will become your best friend.
