Might as well rotate the tires: Everett's Boeing plant will be the backdrop for a presidential visit for the second time when President Barack Obama arrives today. President Bill Clinton talked jobs and trade during his Feb. 22, 1993.

While most assume both presidents came to Everett to make policy and campaign pitches, Clinton and Obama primarily scheduled the trips because the "wiper fluid low" and "change oil" lights were lit on Air Force One's dash.

What will it take to get you behind the controls? The iconic 747 that will carry the president to Everett, is actually one of two jumbo jets built in Everett and used by a succession of presidents since President George H.W. Bush.

Considering the age of the 747s, Boeing officials said they'd take the opportunity to show the president the 787, let him kick the tires and take it for a test flight. Low financing is available on approval of credit.

Scot free? British Prime Minister David Cameron appealed to the people of Scotland to keep Great Britain intact and vote against a referendum that could make Scotland an independent nation.

In his pitch to the Scots, Cameron held out the possibility of granting more powers to Scotland to run its own affairs and promised that Prince Charles would never wear a kilt in public again.
