Super Kid: Scott Dotson, Lynnwood High School
Q: What extra-circular activities do you participate in?
A: I am ASB (Associated Student Body) spirit coordinator, One Voice Bible study leader, in the "Guys and Dolls" musical, 11th Hour ministry intern, on the sports medicine team, in leadership, the ASB historian, and a 4.0 GPA honor award student.
Q: What is your GPA right now?
A: It's 3.879.
Q: I heard that you help set up assemblies. How is this done, and is it hard?
A: ASB members choose what they want in the assembly; I am in charge of the school spirit activities. It's a team effort for ASB, and I've been helping ASB put together assemblies since my freshman year.
Q: Do you have a job outside school?
A: Yes, I work part time at the Columbia Athletic Club, about 15 hours a week at the front desk. I also do the kid programs.
Q: What things do you do for Lynnwood High School?
A: In the beginning of the year I put up paw prints with every student's name on them all over the school. I encourage people to be involved, participate and attend school events. Every morning I would stand outside and greet people, shake their hands and get them excited to come to school, until it got too cold to stand outside.
Q: What are your plans after high school? Have you been accepted anywhere?
A: Life Pacific College (Life Bible College), and I have been accepted there. It's in San Dimas, Calif. I want to study pastorial ministries, biblical studies or something like that. I want to get a four-year degree and then my master's.
Q: Where did your interest in the church come from?
A: My friend, Trevor, asked me to go to Bible study with him one time, and I liked it and got into it. I now intern for the church.
Q: What is a normal day for you, your schedule?
A: I am at school from 6:30 a.m. until about 4 or 5 p.m. and then I go home or go to work. I am in the ASB office for about two hours every day after school working for ASB. I make lots of posters.
Q: Is that schedule hard on you?
A: I go to bed about 10 or 11 p.m. every night. I manage to balance my schedule enough to have time for myself, but I am a go-getter.
