Camper in Lynnwood mobile home park destroyed by fire; no injuries
LYNNWOOD -- A fire destroyed a travel camper at a mobile home park north of Lynnwood on Sunday.
The fire was reported at 8:30 a.m. at the Starlight Park in the 13700 block of Highway 99.
Firefighters responding from the north and south could see a large column of black smoke, said Leslie Hynes, public information officer for Snohomish County Fire District 1. The camper was engulfed in flames when they arrived, she said.
No one was inside the camper and there were no injuries.
The owners of the camper lived in a neighboring mobile home. The camper was a total loss, Hynes said. The neighboring mobile home and a travel trailer sustained minor heat damage.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
Highway 99 in the 13700 block was closed in both directions for about 45 minutes because fire crews had to run hose lines across the road.
