Active Duty

Army Pvt. Douglas A. Ormsby has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Ormsby is the son of Anna Hall of Monroe.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Dawniel K. Krieger, daughter of Valerie and Lyle Krieger of Stanwood, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Krieger is a 2011 graduate of Stanwood High School.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Jeffrey A. Russell, son of Jennifer Russell and grandson of Mark and Michelle Birchim of Everett, was recently promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Russell earned the early promotion for outstanding performance during all phases of the training cycle. Russell is a 2011 graduate of Cascade High School.

Navy Seaman Zakary M. Buckley, a 2004 graduate of Stanwood High School, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Navy Seaman Jeffrey B. Tasky, son of Laura Tasky of Rensselaer, Ind., and Jeffrey Tasky of Stanwood, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Tasky is a 2011 graduate of Stanwood High School.
