Credit card debt recently dropped in every state except Wisconsin, where it increased by 4 percent.
Wisconsites explained they tried to rein in their credit card spending, but got a bit carried away during a pre-Christmas visit to the Green Bay Packers team store.
Carnival time ends at 5 sharp: Mardi Gras is not only a big deal in New Orleans but in towns all along the Gulf Coast. From Texas to Florida, Fat Tuesday tourism is big business.
However, The Buzz senses that fraternity brothers from Tappa Kegga Dae who are eagerly looking forward to public inebriation and debauchery are going to be sorely disappointed by what they'll find in those small Southern towns.
Don't know much about history: One hundred years ago today, the phrase "My hat is in the ring" entered the American political lexicon, thanks to Theodore Roosevelt.
What's remarkable is that the expression has endured even though it makes almost as much sense as a contemporary political catchphrase: "Corporations are people, my friend."
