Guilty plea in Seattle in fatal bus stop shooting

SEATTLE -- A man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Tuesday in Seattle in the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old woman at a bus stop in the White Center neighborhood.

The Seattle Times reports 26-year-old Anthony H. Smith faces 15 years in prison when he is sentenced March 23 in King County Superior Court.

Prosecutors say Smith shot Maria "Sweetheart" Failautusi early on Aug. 16 in a fight between two groups that began when a man asked the victim and her friends for a cigarette and they refused.
