LAKE STEVENS vs. BOTHELL
7 p.m., Lake Stevens H.S. | Radio: KKXA (1520)
After losing to Snohomish in the 4A District 1 semifinals, Lake Stevens beat Kamiak and Edmonds-Woodway in the consolation bracket to advance to the Kingco-Wesco pigtail game. For their effort, the Vikings get a Bothell team that has had a remarkable turnaround season. The Cougars, who went 1-14 in 4A Kingco league play in 2010-11, finished 8-7 in league this season, good enough for a tie for third with Ballard in the Kingco Crown division. Bothell is led guard Zach LaVine (23.8 points per game), a 6-foot-3, Division I recruit with a quick first step. LaVine dropped in 32 points, the sixth time he's scored 30 or more this season, in the Cougars' 65-55 win over Roosevelt that earned them their shot at Lake Stevens.

GLACIER PEAK vs. SHORECREST
6 p.m., Mountlake Terrace H.S.
If the Grizzlies are going to make it to the state tournament they're going to have to beat a team they lost to twice during the regular season, including a 49-41 defeat at home in the season finale. In both games, Glacier Peak had trouble containing Scots post player Emmanuel Chibuogwu Jr., who combined for 49 points in the two games. Glacier Peak star post Zach Pederson scored 20 points in the last game of the season, but he was held in check in the first time the two teams met, scoring just 13 points in a 63-55 loss.
STANWOOD vs. SKYLINE
7 p.m., Stanwood H.S.
The Spartans aren't your usual district three seed. Stanwood lost just one game during the regular season and handed District 1 No. 1 seed Lake Stevens its lone loss on the season. But after losing to Jackson in the semifinals of the District 1 tournament, Stanwood beat Edmonds-Woodway and Arlington in two hard-fought victories to advance to the Kingco-Wesco pigtail game. Skyline suffered a similar fate in their district tournament. After finishing the regular season 11-3 and champion of the Kingco 4A Crest division, Skyline lost to Eastlake in the semifinals of the 4A District 2 tournament, forcing the Spartans to beat Newport and Issaquah to advance to tonight's game. Skyline is led by posts Megan Wiedeman (13.3 points per game) and Allie Wyszynski (9.8 ppg).
GLACIER PEAK vs. LYNNWOOD
7:30 p.m., Mountlake Terrace H.S.
These two teams met already in this tournament, with the Grizzlies coming out on top 46-36 in a semifinal game. Since that game the Royals have played twice, beating two Northwest Conference foes, Mount Vernon and Ferndale, in convincing fashion to get to today's winner-to-state game, while Glacier Peak played just once over that span -- Saturday's 63-51 loss to Shorecrest. During the regular season, the two teams split the series, with both victorious teams winning by three points. Katie Hawkins scored 18 and 22 points in the wins, but was held to 11 in the loss. Linda Wilson had 14 points in Lynnwood's lone win over GP.
