Front Porch: Comment on Mukilteo ferry plans
Ferry dock plans
The public will have a chance the next two nights to comment on options for building a new ferry dock in Mukilteo.
Tonight's meeting is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo.
Thursday's meeting is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. at the Clinton Community Hall, 6411 Central Ave., Clinton.
The meetings are being conducted by Washington State Ferries. Sound Transit staff members also will be present at tonight's meeting with information regarding possible improvements to the Mukilteo Sounder commuter rail station.

See a whale of a show: Learn about killer whales at a presentation planned for 11 a.m., March 10, at the Adopt a Stream Foundation's Northwest Stream Center, 600 128th Street SE.
Killer Whale Tales will be presented by Jeff Hogan, a biologist, photographer and actor who makes this event a delight for first-graders to adults.
He'll bring underwater video and talk about how to know if a whale is traveling, hunting salmon, playing or sleeping. Their brains are so large that they put half their brain to sleep when they are tired and keep moving with the other half of their brain awake, but in slumber mode.
Register by calling 425-316-8592. Cost is $5 for Adopt A Stream Foundation members, and $7 for non-members.
