U.S. indoor archery championships set for Mountlake Terrace

Talented archers from around the Pacific Northwest, including several from Snohomish County, will gather this weekend for the 43rd annual U.S. National Indoor and 2012 Junior Olympic Archery Development Indoor Championships at The Nock Point in Mountlake Terrace.

The event, which includes competitions for both recurve and compound bows, is one of 10 regional championships taking place over three weekends around the United States. The scores are then collected and national championships awarded.

Competitions begin Friday afternoon and continue through Sunday evening. The Nock Point is located at 22313 70th Ave. W., Suite U5A, in Mountlake Terrace.

The event is open to the public, though there is limited viewing space. Additional viewing will be available via television monitors.
