Woman sought in robbery of espresso stand
ARLINGTON -- Detectives hope someone will recognize a woman suspected of holding up an Arlington espresso stand at gunpoint.
They released a sketch of the woman on Friday.
The robbery was reported about 11:30 a.m. near the corner of N. Olympic Avenue and E. Division Street, Arlington city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
An employee at the stand told police that a woman approached, showed a dark-colored pistol and demanded money. She then ran away with the cash.
Several nearby schools were put in lockdown while a police dog searched for the woman.
She is described as white and about 5-foot-8 with a skinny build. She appeared to be in her late 40s or early 50s. She was described as having a long and narrow face and light brown hair with some gray. Her eyes are likely brown, and she has an olive complexion.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 360-403-3420.
