A man arrested after a police chase in Pierce County on Tuesday night also is wanted in connection with a deadly home-invasion robbery in Snohomish County, officials said.
The chase happened in the Sumner area, according to the Herald's news partner, KIRO-TV, Channel 7. The man reportedly wore a bulletproof vest and wielded a rifle during the chase.
He rolled his truck and was taken into custody.
The man also is wanted by Snohomish County sheriff's detectives, sheriff's bureau chief Kevin Prentiss confirmed.
Police believe the man may have played a role in a heavily armed, highly charged robbery on Dec. 1. A group of men broke into a Marysville home and held two people hostage. During the commotion, a man was fatally shot by a member of his own posse.
Roughly a half-dozen people have been arrested and charged in the case, which remains under investigation.
