Tips on healthy eating, increasing exercise
Only 12 percent of American adults get regular exercise and practice good nutrition and oral health, according to a recent American Heart Association survey.
The most common reason given for not doing so: lack of time.
The survey showed that among American adults:
* Eighty percent said that eating about four cups a day of fruit and vegetables is a struggle.
* About 60 percent say it is difficult to get at least 150 minutes every week of moderate activity, such as brisk walking, recommended by the American Heart Association.
* Twenty-five percent aren't regularly practicing good oral hygiene, brushing and rinsing twice daily and flossing at least once a day.
