Winter chinook fishing in the eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca was smokin’ over the weekend, with state checks Friday at the Ediz Hook ramp in Port Angeles showing 13 chinook for 22 fishermen; 11 anglers with 11 chinook on Saturday at Olson’s Resort in Sekiu, and 15 anglers with 15 chinook at Olson’s on Sunday.
