The Moonlight Swing Orchestra plays from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 102nd Ave NW in Stanwood.
A meal of spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert and coffee is to be served from 6 to 7 p.m. Tickets are available in advance and at the door for $30 per person or $50 a couple. Beer and wine will be available for an additional charge.
The idea for this fundraiser came from Ed Pearson, a Stanwood High School graduate and member of the Moonlight Swing Orchestra.
A trombone player, Pearson had always wanted the band to play in Stanwood. After touring the D.O. Pearson House Museum, he suggested that the band play a fundraiser to benefit the Stanwood Area Historical Society, which offers the community historic programs, research services, the museum, and the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center.
The event also benefits the Stanwood Chamber of Commerce, which supports community organizations and events, including the Harvest Jubilee, Stanwood Camano Area Foundation scholarships, the Port Susan Snow Goose & Birding Festival and the Old Fashioned Christmas in Stanwood.

This free presentation is from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road. Coffee and cookies will be served. Donations will be accepted.
