Everett firefighters will practice navigating their way through a smoke-filled vacant waterfront building during four days of training set to begin Tuesday.
The fire department plans to use the former Scuttlebutt Brewing Co. and restaurant building at 1524 W. Marine View Drive between Tuesday and Friday. The business has moved a few blocks away.
The building is visible from the roadway and fire officials want to make sure people to know what is happening.
The daytime training includes the use of a fog generator, Everett fire marshal Rick Robinson said. It will likely begin around 9 a.m. and wrap up about 4 p.m. each day.
