Published:
PASCO -- Pasco city officials are pleased with a federal jury's verdict that four police officers did not violate the rights of a paraplegic man when they arrested him five years ago.
Deputy City Manager Stan Strebel told Tri-City Herald Monday that the verdict shows the officers acted within the scope of their duties.
Fred Nunez said police broke one of his paralyzed legs when they pulled him out of a car during a 2007 traffic stop.
The jury returned the verdict Friday in Yakima.
