SEATTLE — A hip injury that limited sophomore Terrence Ross during the second half of Tuesday's game and again at Wednesday's practice is not supposed to keep the University of Washington's most explosive scorer from playing against Northwestern on Friday night.
The Huskies announced Wednesday that Ross is "probable" for Friday's game. He had a team-high 23 points, scoring most of it in bunches before sitting out a long stretch of the second half with a sore hip.
He said after that game, a win over Texas-Arlington in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament, that he suffered the injury sometime in the first half and that he took ibuprofin to ease the pain. Ross added late Tuesday night that he expected to be available for Friday's second round game.
He was limited at practice Wednesday, according to the school's athletic department.
