Taxpayers will have a chance over the coming week to provide input to Sound Transit on future station locations for light rail along I-5 from Northgate to Lynnwood.
The rail line, expected to cost between $1.4 billion and $1.6 billion, is scheduled to be built in time to open in 2023. The project was approved by voters in 2008.
Six open house-style meetings are planned in south Snohomish and north King counties for the public to view the preliminary plans and comment. Two meetings were held earlier this week in Shoreline.
As part of the rail project, four stations are planned along the I-5 corridor, with the exact locations to be selected.
There also is wiggle room within the I-5 corridor for the route of the rail line.
Meetings are scheduled for:
•11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Top Foods Market Street Cafe, 1201 N. 175th St., Shoreline.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Top Foods Market Street Cafe, 21900 Highway 99, Edmonds.
4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Lynnwood Recreation Center, 18900 44th Ave. W.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W.
4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lynnwood Library, 19200 44th Ave. W.
4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion, 5303 228th St. SW.
