Meet the birds of Snohomish County

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
Ever wonder what that bird in your yard is? Or what to call that duck you see while walking on the beach? Snohomish County is home to variety of fascinating birds.

According to the Pilchuck Audubon Society, nearly 100 bird species are common in Snohomish County. Some, such as crows and starlings, you can see anywhere. Some, such as the common yellowthroat or American dipper will take a little more work to find.

We've put together a collection of birds common to our area. Take a look. Maybe you can put a name to a feathered face. And, while you're at it, vote in the polls and tell us what birds you've seen around here.
