Cooking fire damages a Marysville home

MARYSVILLE -- Three people were displaced Wednesday night after a fire in a Marysville home.

The cooking fire started roughly around 6 p.m. in a kitchen in the 6400 block of 61st Street NE, said Scott Goodale, a battalion chief with the Marysville Fire District.

The fire spread into the attic and caused up to $100,000 in damage.

No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was called to help those displaced.

Crews also responded from Getchell and Silvana.
