Records set by this weeks NLL Players of the Week

The National Lacrosse League announced its Players of the Week on Wednesday and the list was headlined by record-setting performances.

Toronto Rock forward Garrett Billings earned Offensive Player of the Week honors for setting a new single-game franchise best with 15 points in a 15-9 win over Buffalo on Saturday. Billings scored four goals and dished 11 assists and also collected five loose balls in the win. Billings became the first player in the history of the league to record a point on each of his team's goals in a winning effort. He ranks second in the NLL in assists (63) and points (86).

Minnesota's Evan Kirk earned the Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in a 9-8 loss to Edmonton. Kirk wasn't even expected to play, but came in in relief of starter Tyler Carlson and saved 25 of the 26 shots he saw in just over 37 minutes of action. The only goal that Kirk allowed was Edmonton's overtime game-winner. The 37 minutes of regulation in which Kirk allowed no goals set a franchise record. One night earlier, Kirk had saved 38 of 53 shots in a 15-10 loss to Calgary.

Calgary's Geoff Snider earned Transition Player of the Week honors for his performance in a 15-10 victory over Minnesota on Friday. Snider posted a hat trick in the game and finished with two assists, he also scooped up 28 loose balls and won all 28 faceoffs he took. Snider did not play against Washington on Saturday because of injury.

Colorado's Jamie Lincoln earned Rookie of the Week honors by recording a hat trick on just four shots in a 16-12 win over Rochester. Lincoln also dished two assists in the game.
