The Big Five-O, the Golden Years, Nifty, nifty, look who's 50. Humbug, you say?
Are you one of the millions of baby boomers who isn't even dreaming of retirement yet, much less planning for it?
The Everett Library is offering two free half-day workshops, thanks to a Transforming Life After 50 grant awarded by the library division of the Washington Secretary of State's Office.
Carol Vecchio, founder of Centerpoint Institute for Life and Career Renewal in Seattle, will host the workshops from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 21 and May 5.
The April 21 session will give people practical tools to cope with transitions and make changes to be able to move forward.
Library specialist Anita Johansen said the two seminars work well in sequence. The May 5 workshop goes into the next phase of transitioning to life after 50: figuring out what you want to do next, sort of a "passion search," she said.
Both sessions are free, but registration is required by calling 425-257-8000 or 425-257-8012, or email
The Everett Public Library is at 2702 Hoyt Ave. Check their website,, for more information.
