Fire Chief Richard Curtis says no one was on board and no one was injured.
Curtis says the fire was challenging, as one burning boat drifted toward another pier. A boat with firefighting capability was requested from the Swinomish tribe at La Conner but sent back when the fire was controlled.
Curtis says the boats are in the 30- to 35-foot range, and the loss is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Booms and absorbent pads were deployed. The state Ecology Department is monitoring the cleanup of as much as 150 gallons of fuel.
A March 30 fire at Bellingham marina killed two people.
