Baseball stars

Kamiak's Jake Bettencourt hit a home run and Andrew Crosby pitched a complete game shutout as the Knights beat Wesco South-rival Jackson. ... Snohomish's Russell Crippen pitched a complete-game, two-hitter and went 2-for-4 with a double as the Panthers won the Wesco North showdown. ... Meadowdale's Chris Osborne and Brian Marty each finished 3-for-4 as the Mavericks edged Lynnwood in a Wesco 3A game. ... Archbishop Murphy's Casey Dawes went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBI and a run scored as the Wildcats beat Cedarcrest. ... Mountlake Terrace's Alex Hatch pitched six scoreless innings, striking out 11 and giving up just two hits as the Hawks beat Glacier Peak.

Softball stars

Meadowdale's Shannon Haukup pitched a complete game three-hitter to lead the Mavs to a victory over Mariner. ... Edmonds-Woodway's Kately Lafferty pitched a complete game and went 2-for-3 as the Warriors beat Kamiak. ... Archbishop Murphy's Gemma Miller finished 4-for-6 with four RBI and also got the win on the mound, Marea Homes was 3-for-5 with five RBI and Madeline Johnson was 4-for-4 with four runs scored as the Wildcats beat Coupeville. ... Mountlake Terrace starting pitcher Rene Bos threw a complete game one-hitter and hit a home run and Maddy Kristjanson batted 3-for-4 with two home runs to lead the Hawks over Shorewood. ... In her first varsity action, Granite Falls' Taylor Manino went 2-for-3 with two RBI and picked up the win in relief, striking out six in four innings as the Tigers beat South Whidbey. ... Shorecrest's Callie Anderson went 4-for-4 Anisa Gomez hit a home run as the Scots beat Marysville Getchell. ... Monroe's Alyssa Eagan struck out 10 batters and went 3-for-4 with an RBI double as the Bearcats beat Lake Stevens.

Golf stars

Snohomish's Bailey Wells scored 42 modified Stableford points to lead the Panthers to a win over Lake Stevens in a girls golf match. ... Kamiak's Joe Fryer shot a 2-under-par 34 to take medalist honors to lead the Knights boys team to a win in a Wesco South match.

Boys soccer stars

Lake Stevens' Jacob Scott scored two goals in the first six minutes as the Vikings beat Edmonds-Woodway. ... Shorewood's Eugene Holley scored on a penalty kick in the 37th minute for the match's only goal as the Thunderbirds improved to 10-0. ... Everett's Yurii Boiko had a goal and an assist as the Seagulls upset Marysville Getchell.

Girls tennis stars

In a battle of two of the best Wesco tennis players, Stanwood's Megan LaLone defeated Kamiak's Sally Park 6-2, 7-5 in a crossover match. Park got the last laugh, though, as the Knights won the match 4-3.
