Opportunity Expo
The Marysville Rotary, Tulalip Tribes and the Marysville School District are providing a College, Career, and Work Expo for students and their parents.
The event is set to be open from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Tulalip Resort’s Orca and Chinook rooms.
More than 150 representatives of colleges, tech and trade schools, local businesses and other organizations plan to participate.
A presentation on the state of economic development in Snohomish County is scheduled for 6 p.m. by Anneleise Vance-Sherman of WorkSource Snohomish County; Mel Sheldon, chairman of the Tulalip Tribes; and Gloria Hirashima from the City of Marysville.

Mill Creek looks ahead: The Mill Creek City Council adopted a strategic plan for the city April 10.
The purpose of the plan is to establish a road map for city decisions, ensuring Mill Creek’s quality of life is maintained for its residents and businesses.
Now that the plan is adopted, the work of the City Council and staff will just be starting as the action items identified in the document are implemented.
