LYNNWOOD -- The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man killed in a car-pedestrian accident over the weekend as Jeffrey T. Phelan.
The accident occurred in the 1300 block of 164th Street SW shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday.
The preliminary investigation indicates Phelan was crossing 164th Street SW wearing dark clothing when he was struck by a 1992 Acura Integra traveling east, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
Phelan, 54, died at the scene.
The sheriff's Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
Preliminary information indicates the victim was not in a marked crosswalk or intersection, sheriff's chief Kevin Prentiss said.
