Seems Like Yesterday

The Everett Seagulls defeated Seattle Prep's golf team 135-116 at the Everett Municipal Golf Course yesterday. Jeff Ernst was a medalist with 77. Other members of the team were Bob Wallace, Rick Harvey, Burke Barker and Tony Hamilton.
Youngsters in the Darrington Little League were to report to the field Wednesday. The season's officers were Ivan Jones, president; John Potts, vice president; Verne Simmons, player agent and umpire; Si Gilbert, judge; and Bill Carroll, secretary-treasurer.

Best wishes went to Ernest Tuorila, an Everett resident who was honored on his 100th birthday at a family gathering at the Seahorse restaurant in Mukilteo.
Marge Phillips thought a tea room would be a nice elegant establishment where she could hone her culinary and hostess skills. Instead, she bought a nondescript tavern on the Mukilteo waterfront and turned it into a spot with the ambiance of an old-time country grange hall. She called it Cheers Too.
