ARLINGTON -- A Snohomish County sheriff's deputy was injured slightly Tuesday morning after taking a spill from his motorcycle.

The accident occurred after 9 a.m. near the southbound ramp of I-5 near Smokey Point, sheriff's office chief Kevin Prentiss said.

The officer was treated for scrapes and bruises.

Slippery road conditions contributed to the accident, Prentiss said.
