Camera catches Spokane Valley burglary suspect

SPOKANE VALLEY -- Trail cameras were designed with motion-detecting technology to take pictures of wildlife, but they're being used by homeowners for added security.
A camera outside a Spokane Valley home picked up the image of a truck, including its license plate.
KXLY reports that led to the arrest of a 50-year-old man suspected of taking $6,000 worth of jewelry from the Greenacres home in an April 11 burglary.
Spokane County detectives believe he may be responsible for more than 20 break-ins. Deputies have recovered the stolen jewelry as well as other stolen property.
The man is being held without bail because he was recently released from prison.
