Pulpit play: “Ellen’s Tomb,” a short play written by Everett’s Mike Mallory and based on incidents in the life of writer Ralph Waldo Emerson, will be read in a world premiere in lieu of the sermon at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Evergreen Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1607 Fourth St., Marysville. The drama deals with the theme of letting go. All are welcome.

Speakers from the West Bank: Daoud Nasser, a West Bank Palestinian Christian, and Mark Braverman, an American Jew, will speak at several programs Sunday in the Lakeview Room of Snohomish First Presbyterian Church. At 9 a.m., Nasser will talk about Tent of Nations, a farm near Bethlehem in the Palestinian West Bank. “Refusing to be Enemies:” A lunch and presentation at noon Monday at Everett First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave. Speakers are Daoud Nasser and Mark Braverman from Tent of Nations, an educational and environmental farm near Bethlehem in the Palestinian West Bank. Donations accepted.
National Day of Prayer: The Stanwood-Camano observance of the National Day of Prayer will be noon-1 p.m. Thursday in the Haggen parking lot, 26603 72nd Ave. NW, Stanwood. Bazaar in Edmonds: St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Lynnwood will hold its 23rd annual Egyptian indoor festival and fundraising bazaar from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 5 at the Edmonds Yacht Club, 326 Admiral Way, Suite 100, Edmonds. There will be Egyptian food, papyrus art, Coptic Christian art, icons, literature and more.
Unity Church retirement: After 30 years as spiritual leader of Everett’s Unity Church, also known as the Unity Center for Positive Living, at 3231 Colby Ave., Bob Eagan and his wife, Charlotte, are retiring.
