Lost hikers airlifted off Mount Pilchuck

VERLOT -- A Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue helicopter was being used Sunday evening to bring three stranded hikers on Mount Pilchuck to safety.
None of the men, whose ages and hometowns were not immediately available, appeared to be injured, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office reported.
The men went on a hike and camped on the mountain Saturday, sheriff's office Lt. Brent Speyer said.
On Sunday, they were hiking down when they became wet, cold and lost, Speyer said.
They called 911 around 4:15 p.m.
The rescue helicopter was taking the men off the mountain one at a time Sunday evening, Speyer said.
