Talent show audition
The Marysville Strawberry Festival Talent Show organizers are looking for talent.
Auditions for the show are scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 14 and 15 at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, 5611 108th St. NE.
Applications are available online at The deadline for entries is May 11. The show is to be held at 6:30 p.m. June 14.

Defense class offered: The Mountlake Terrace Police Department is planning a firearms and home defense safety seminar.
The free seminar will cover protecting yourself, family and property. It is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. May 24 at the library, 23308 58th Ave, W.
The class will offer information, resources and training in light of recent child-involved shootings and homeowner-intruder shootings in the region.
It will be taught by Sgt. Pat Lowe, a certified firearms instructor. Seating is limited, and reservations are recommended.
