LYNNWOOD — A man shot near Lynnwood early Tuesday morning remained hospitalized Tuesday evening.
His condition was not immediately available.
The shooting occurred about 7:45 a.m., Snohomish County sheriff’s bureau chief Kevin Prentiss said.
The victim, 20, was standing at a bus stop in the 2200 block of 148th Street SW when he was shot in the back by another man, Prentiss said.
“It’s unknown if the two individuals know each other,” Prentiss said. “The victim walked to his residence nearby where he collapsed.”
His mother called 9-1-1.
The suspect fled in an unknown vehicle, Prentiss said. Detectives expected to release further details on Wednesday.
