ARLINGTON — A head-on collision in Arlington on Monday sent four people to the hospital, officials said.
The investigation is ongoing, and detectives are waiting on laboratory test results. No arrests have been made, city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
The crash happened about 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of 172nd Street NE and 51st Avenue NE. Emergency crews had to close the road for several hours.
Detectives believe that a 2006 GMC pickup and a 1992 Ford Probe collided, Banfield said. A woman in the Ford was seriously injured and had to be cut out from the vehicle.
The two drivers and a passenger in the truck also were hospitalized. None of their injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
The Snohomish County sheriff’s Collision Investigation Unit was called out to assist with the case.
