Walk: Poker Walk to benefit children's association
The Providence General Children's Association is organizing a 5K poker walk starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Langus Riverfront Park, 411 Smith Island Road, Everett.
Cost to register is $25 per person, or $50 for a family of four and $5 for additional family members. Children under 5 are free. Lunch will be provided for everyone at 11:30 a.m. For more information and to register, call Mary 425-355-9131.
Proceeds go to help Children's Association, which supports community activities for children in the Northwest.
Help: Adults needed to volunteer with teens
Davis Place, an after-school destination for middle and high schoolers in Stanwood, is looking for volunteers to supervise youth activities, help with homework, teach classes and more.
Davis Place offers activities from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, and classes Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 9612 271st St. NW in Stanwood.

Help: Arlington Police Department seeks volunteers
The Arlington Police Department is looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways, including assisting the records room staff and police officers between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the police department.
Among the activities done by volunteers include staffing the front-lobby window, answering phones and handing out informational brochures.
Applications can be found online at the city's website, www.arlingtonwa.gov, or at the Arlington Police Department at 238 N. Olympic Ave.
Donate: Items needed for sale
The Snohomish County Chapter of the Clothing and Textile Advisors of Washington seeks donations of fabric, notions, trims, patterns, books, magazines, yarn and needlework items for its upcoming fabric sale.
Donations will be accepted from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 8 at 600 128th St. SE in Everett.
Donations can also be made prior to that date by contacting Carla at 206-595-9717 or at cpeerysew@aol.com.
The sale is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 9. A portion of the proceeds go to help scholarships to attend a summer camp.
Ride: Motorcycle event to benefit food banks
The Angel of the Winds Casino is sponsoring a motorcycle ride filled with games to benefit food banks in Marysville, Arlington and Stanwood.
People can participate by paying $10 for a game card. The ride is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. June 10 at the Sound Harley-Davidson store, 16212 Smokey Point Blvd. in Smokey Point. The 40-mile ride ends at Angels of Winds Casino, 3438 Stoluckquamish Lane in Arlington. For more information, call Chere McCall at 406-459-1680 or email loh.pshog@gmail.com.
